Meet Thai:
Thai Nguyen is an award-winning attorney representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of cases, including personal injury, civil rights, and tax matters. He brings high-level litigation skills, courtroom experience, and a direct client-centered approach to every case.
Before founding Thai Nguyen Law, Thai served as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey. In that role, he represented the State’s judicial, legislative, and executive branches in significant trial and appellate matters. His work included veterans home abuse claims, medical malpractice, premises liablity, breach of contract, child abuse, defamation, Title IX discrimination, Section 1983, Fourth Amendment, mistaken imprisonment, malicious prosecution, other civil rights/constitutional claims, and general tort/negligence and personal injury litigation.
Thai also served on special trial teams representing the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Committee on Judicial Conduct in a trial seeking the removal of a Superior Court judge, as well as the Committee on Professional Ethics in trial proceedings. These matters required careful preparation, command of complex legal issues, and the ability to handle sensitive matters garnering public attention.
For his trial work, Thai received the New Jersey Attorney General’s Award for “Excellence in Trial Litigation.” The award recognized not only his strong legal skill and leadership in securing a swift jury verdict for his clients, after a jury deliberated for approximately thirty minutes, but the creativity Thai applied in explaining the complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to the jury.
Today, Thai applies that same standard of excellence and experience to representing people in a wide range of legal matters, including personal injury, medical malpractice, civil rights, corporate formations, family law and estate planning, and tax audit representation. He understands that a legal problem can affect a client’s health, finances, family, and future. His goal is to give every client clear advice, personal attention, and a serious advocate prepared to fight when it matters.
Outside the courtroom, Thai has competed internationally in rugby, boxing, and at the World Muay Thai Championships. That competitive discipline, preparation, and fighting spirit remain central to how he represents each client.
